Cristiano Ronaldo showed his quality yet again with a beautiful piece of skill to send Germany’s Antonio Rudiger back to Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
The 36-year-old’s third goal of the tournament gave Portugal a 1-0 lead in their second group match.
But fans have now reacted on social media after his first-half piece of skill against Rudiger.
As Rudiger tried to win the ball off Ronaldo, the Portuguese star chipped it over the Chelsea defender.
And Ronaldo then stuck out his arms like he was planning to catch the ball.
He then did a beautiful no-look back-flick to a Portugal player, just as Rudiger watched on in shock.
The skill in the match got many on social media talking, with one fan saying the skill proved that Ronaldo remains the greatest of all time.
A fan on Twitter said: ‘He pretended to catch it mid air, that’s absolutely stunning.’
Portugal could not keep their lead however as first-half own-goals from Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerriero gave Germany a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Germany scored two more goals in the second half through Kai Havertz and Robin Gosens to have a 4-1 lead before Diogo Jota got one back for Portugal.
