FT: Croatia 3-5 Spain, Azpilicueta Set Record With GOAL! (Match Report And Highlight)

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta scored his first International goal as Spain beat Croatia 3-5 in the Euro 2020 round of 16, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both Nations scored one goal each in the first half of the encounter which provided so much entertainment from the two sides.

Croatia took an early lead thanks to an error that saw Pedri putting the ball inside his own net to make it 1-0 in favor of the Croatians who pressured them.

Spain did everything possible to fight back and get the much-needed goal as the game carried on with more opportunities being created.

Pablo Sarabia scored in the 38th minute to level things back to 1-1 after an amazing play saw Jose Gaya setting up the assist for the goal.

The first half ended with Croatia 1-1 Spain as they both headed for the break with both sides settling for a draw.

Second Half Report

The second half was better than the first 45 minutes of the game, as more goals kept flying in from both ends.

Cesar Azpilicueta scored in the 57th minute to give Spain the lead after a beautiful finish saw the Chelsea man getting his first international goal to make it 1-2.

Croatia were poor as Ferran Torres extended the lead to 1-3 in the 77th minute with a stunning finish from the Manchester City man.

Mislav Orsic made it 2-3 in the 85th minute of the game after a good piece of play from the home team giving them a lifeline.

Mario Pasalic scored a late on which made it level as the full time ended with Croatia 3-3 Spain, which sees them heading for extra time.

Extra Time Report

The extra time kicked off with both sides pushing forward to make sure they take the lead as the tempo of the game slowed down a little bit with so many tired legs.

Alvaro Morata struck in the 100th minutes to make sure his Country took the less once again after a great buildup play saw Daniel Olmo with the assist to make it 3-4.

Croatia Spain

Mikel Oyarzabal added another one in the 103rd minutes which made the scoreline 3-5 after an outstanding finish as Olmo gets his second assists.

The match carried on without any reply as it ended with Croatia 3-5 Spain which saw the away side advancing into the next round of the tournament.
