Raheem Sterling scored the only goal as England beat the Czech Republic to finish top of Group D after a 0-1 result, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
One goal scored in the first half of the encounter saw the Three Lions giving their best in the 45 minutes that was filled with so many opportunities going forward.
It took England just 12 minutes to get the goal which saw Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling making it count after a wonderful assist from Jack Grealish to make it 0-1 from a perfect finish.
The Czech Republic had a fair amount of opportunities that could have seen them level things, but they couldn’t find a way to finish off neatly with Thomas Soucek coming closest to scoring.
More from both teams as the first half of the encounter progressed with them unable to make it count after that goal scored early in the 12th minute by Raheem Sterling.
The first half ended with the Czech Republic 0-1 England, as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away team playing on their home ground.
Second Half Report
The second half started with some good displays coming from both teams who showed the quality they are made off in front of goal.
The Czech Republic was the side who needed to get something out of the game as their chances of qualifying looked slim with them already on four points and Croatia leading.
England continued to hold on to possession as they did everything possible going forward and also killing off time so they can claim all three points to finish top of the Group table.
Jadon Sancho was finally introduced into the game which saw him coming on for the first time in the tournament as both sides continued to create more opportunities.
The match finally came to an end with the Czech Republic 0-1 England, which saw the three lions claiming victory and three points which saw them finish top with 7 as Croatia with 4 points.
