Alvaro Morata missed a penalty as Spain thrashed Slovakia 0-5 in their final group stages encounter which Ferran Torres scored, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was an entertaining end to end encounter in the first half as the Spaniards made sure everything went their way all through.
Spain missed the opportunity of taking the lead in the 12th minute of the game as Alvaro Morata throw away a penalty kick which could have given them the advantage.
Slovakia didn’t learn from their mistake earlier as they conceded the first goal of the game on the 30th minutes after an error from Martin Dubravka made it 0-1.
Aymeric Laporte added another goal late in the 45 minutes plus as he scored a beauty which made it it 0-2 after a good build up from play saw Gerrard Moreno making the assist.
The first half ended with Slovakia 0-2 Spain as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away team on the encounter.
Second Half Report
The second half was more delightful coming for the away side who couldn’t stop scoring more goals as it processed.
Slovakia did managed to hold on to the ball a bit in the early minutes of the second half which saw them being able to make some problems.
Spain increased their lead to 0-3 in the 56th minutes, thanks to a goal from Pablo Sarabia who made sure his finish was exceptional after an assist from Jordi Alba.
Ferran Torres made it 0-4 in the 67th minutes after him and Pablo Sarabia teamed up together to get the fourth which was outstanding.
An own goal from Juraj Kucka in the 71st minutes made sure nothing stopped the scoreline from turning into 0-5 after another error from the Slovakians.
The encounter finally came to an end with Slovakia 0-5 Spain which saw the away side claiming three points and a win to finish the group stages as two one on the table.
