Kasper Dolberg scored a brace alongside one each from Braithwaite and Maehle as Denmark thrash Wales 0-4 in Euros2020 round of 16 as Harry Wilson was shown a late red card, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A brilliant display in the first half of the encounter made sure that the away side for the encounter had everything figured out against their opponent.
Wales was the better side in the early stages of the game as they made sure they bossed play and created some good goal-scoring opportunities while going forward.
Denmark was the lucky side to break the deadlock in the 27th minute as Kasper Dolberg scored a stunner after a nice play from his side which saw Damsgaard making the assist for a 0-1 lead.
More opportunities from both teams who had so much to offer as they are the first side to kick off the European Championship 2020 round of 16 after making it out from the group stages.
The first half ended with Wales 0-1 Denmark as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away side who were good and used their opportunity well.
Second Half Report
It was a more disastrous second half for the Welsh as they couldn’t get one thing right going forward and defending all through the 45 minutes.
Kasper Dolberg extended Denmark lead with a goal in the 48th minute of the second half after he reacted first to a loose ball to make it 0-2 with a fine finish.
Wales continued to do everything to make sure they are able to make a comeback despite the deficit, but all their efforts was proven to be a failure.
The home side were poor in everything as once again they conceded another goal in the 88th minute after another wave of attack saw Joakim Maehle making it 0-3.
More coming as Harry Wilson was shown a late red card which finished off everything as Martin Braithwaite made sure he extended the lead to 0-4 in the 90+ minutes.
The match ended with Wales 0-4 Denmark as the away side made they progressed into the next round of the competition with a fantastic win.
