Manchester United are now ready to make Paul Pogba the highest paid player in the Premier League to keep him at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
Pogba is now in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, earning £300,000-a-week.
The Red Devils want to sort a new contract for him before the start of the new season.
According to The Sun, United want to offer him a shocking new five-year £400,000-a-week contract to make Pogba to stay in Manchester.
If Pogba accepts the new offer, the official announcement will be made only after the current Euro 2020 tournament.
Last week, the 28-year-old said he was only focusing on helping his country at the EUROs.
‘It is nothing new that i have one year left on my contract,’ Pogba said in a press conference.
‘There is still no concrete proposals for extensions now.
‘After the season, i took my time for vacation, so I was unable to talk with the managers and coach. I’m now focused on the Euro.’
It’s likely to take a shocking offer to make Pogba to commit his future to the club for the rest of his football career.
Over the years, Pogba looked more likely to leave Manchester United at some point and his agent Mino Raiola did not hide that.
However, Pogba has remained a key player in Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and played 42 matches last season for United across all competitions.
