Manchester United and Manchester City are both ready to act after reports that Sergio Ramos is more likely to leave Real Madrid this summer, MySportDab reports.
Reports from Spain claim that Ramos is unlikely to sign a new contract at Real Madrid after his recent clash with the club over Kylian Mbappe.
The 35-year-old will become a free agent when his Real Madrid contract ends on June 30.
According to Spanish Newspaper AS, The relationship between Ramos and club President Florentino Perez has broken down completely.
Ramos was among the Real Madrid players unhappy with the proposal for a 10 per cent pay-cut and the lack of fans in the stadium.
He told his team-mates not to reject the pay cut proposals because they were trying to save money to sign PSG man Mbappe.
The new fall-out means there is very little hope of Ramos and the club reaching an agreement over a new contract.
Also, Ramos was not part of the Real Madrid promotional video for the new kit for next season.
Ramos has been at Real Madrid for 16 years and has led them to win four Champions League trophies, five LaLiga titles, and four Club World Cups.
But Ramos has struggled with several injuries during the 2020-21 season.
He was also dropped by Spain Coach Luis Enrique for this summer European Championship.
Ramos played only 21 match for Real Madrid last season due to the his injury problems, as Los Blancos ended the 2020-21 season 2nd.
He remains a key target for Manchester United and Manchester City.
