Arsenal have now agreed terms with Brighton to sign defender Ben White for £50m, MySportDab reports.
According to The Sun, White has agreed to join Arsenal and will now undergo his medical before signing a five-year contract.
Ben White will now become Arsenal’s most expensive defender ever.
Coach Mikel Arteta has now got his man after working on the deal to sign White for weeks now.
Brighton previously rejected an £40m bid for the 23-year-old and also another £45m plus add-ons offer from Arsenal.
Despite interest from other Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Everton, and Liverpool, Arsenal are the only club to submit a bid for the player.
Ben White’s career has grown over the past season.
He also got called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020 after a brilliant debut season in the Premier League.
However, White did not make the Euro 2020 final squad for England.
Only three years ago, White was playing on loan at Newport County in League Two.
Southampton released him as a free agent in 2014 and when Brighton signed him, they sent him out on loan.
However, he impressed for Graham Potter’s first team last season as a right-sided centre-back.
