Goals from Riyad Mahrez and Samuel Edozie ensured Man City claimed a good preseason win 2-0 against Preston North End, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
An amazing game coming from the Premier League Champions who didn’t have to stress too much with it just being a warm-up encounter, but still they showed more dominance.
Preston North End did manage to get themselves to hold things tight in the early minutes despite all the pressure coming from their opposition.
The lower League side were good until Riyad Mahrez scored a stunner in the 25th minute of the encounter which saw the scoreline turned 1-0 in the favor of the Citizens.
More coming from the away team who were shocking holding it down like they weren’t playing against a side a big as Pep Guardiola’s team.
The first half didn’t provide anything else as it ended with Man City 1-0 Preston North End which saw them both headed for the break after an amazing 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
It was more of the same as the lower League side still continued with their impressive display in the second half which provided more action and entertainment.
Man City had everything all going their way but breaking down their opponent wasn’t an easy task as they deployed everything possible they could with them pushing for another goal.
Preston North End kept the good work going as they also created some good opportunities of their own but unfortunately all was to nothing as it game carried on.
Samuel Edozie made it 2-0 in the 64th minute of the second half with another stunning finish and this time it was from another African talent from Nigeria.
Nothing to show despite unlimited opportunities as the match ended with Man City 2-0 Preston North End which saw Pep Guardiola’s side wrapped up another win in their preseason.
