FT: Switzerland 1(1)-(3)1 Spain, La Roja Advance Into Semi-Final (Match Report And Highlight)

Xherdan Shaqiri scored again but Switzerland lost in penalties 1-3 against Spain after playing a 1-1 with one man sent off, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both Nations had a fair amount of opportunities in the first half of the encounter as just one error caused the away team to get the only goal with 45 minutes.

Xherdan Shaqiri 68th minutes goal leveled things 1-1 as the forward teamed up with Remo Freuler who proved the assist that saw him finishing off neatly.

Things got worse as Remo Freuler was shown a red card in the 78th minute of the game after a foul committed by the man who provided the assist for the leveler.

The second half ended with Switzerland 1-1 Spain as the match ended 90 minutes with a draw and one man down for the home side as they headed for extra time.

Extra Time Report

The extra time kicked off with more coming from the two Nations who were looking to take the much needed lead.

The away side had all the advantages but yet they couldn’t make it count as their opponent had to result to defending very hard.

They both had to go into penalties which saw it ended with Switzerland 1-3 Spain as the away side advance into the semi final of the Euro 2020.
