A shocking English Premier League Player that is married has been arrested for child sex offences on Monday night, MySportDab reports. 

The player has been immediately suspended by his club while the Greater Manchester police investigate.

The name of the player has been hidden for legal reasons.

He was arrested by Greater Manchester Police last week before being released on bail.

According to reports, the police raided his home this July in search of evidence.

A source close to the situation told The Sun: ‘The Cops seized several items. He was questioned about very serious offences.

‘The player returned home on Friday night after being allowed to leave when his questioning was done.

This shocking news has surprised everyone in the Premier League.

The English Premier League 2021-22 season is scheduled to start in one month time.

The Greater Manchester Police released a statement, which said: ‘Officers have arrested a man on Friday 16 July 2021 for child sex offences. He has been given bail pending further enquiries.’

A spokesman for his Premier League club said: ‘We can confirm that we have suspended a first-team player as the police begin their investigation.

‘The club will provide everything needed by the authorities with their inquiries and will not talk about the situation anymore.’

On Monday night, the footballer’s agent refused to comment.

The footballer’s Premier League clubs is now confirmed as Everton. Everton released an official statement on their website suspending a player.
