Chelsea and Manchester City are both monitoring Ben White who Arsenal have made an approach for, MySportDab reports.
The Brighton And Hove Albion defender is currently being linked with a £50 million move to the Emirates after the Gunners made an offer.
Manchester City and Chelsea might be looking to make a step ahead in the race to land a deal for Ben White this summer despite Arsenal leading to sign the defender.
The Brighton And Hove Albion defender was exceptional during the just concluded season and it made him get a call up to England National team.
He featured for the Three Lions buildup to Euro 2020 but unfortunately, he couldn’t make the team heading into the tournament which saw Southgate dropping him.
According to The Transfer Window podcast, Manchester City have held ‘preliminary’ talks with White’s entourage as they look to beat Arsenal to the signing.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking to make a move having seen them losing out on Sergio Ramos and Thomas Tuchel is eager to get a new center back.
Arsenal are still favorite to land a move for Ben White with reports of them already meeting the required asking price of £50 million after their first bid was rejected.
The defender will be a good acquisition for any team who gets to sign him and the Gunners are currently doing everything to be the club he chooses to play ahead of next season.
