Both Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota both scored as Liverpool beat Bologna 2-0 in their preseason friendly encounter, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Two goals scored in the first half of the encounter as The Reds ensured they had everything done going forward with goals coming.
It too Liverpool 7 minutes to open the goal scoring as a wonderful display saw Diogo Jota getting hold of the ball and finishing off neatly to make it 1-0 from the goal scored.
Bologna were unsettled as they were hit with another one again and this time it was Sadio Mane who made it 2-0 in the 14th minute of the game with a beautiful finish from the Senegalese.
The match carried on with more opportunities still coming from both teams who couldn’t convert as it entered onto the last few minutes of the 45 minutes.
The first half ended with Liverpool 2-0 Bologna as they both headed for the break with the Premier League side taking a healthy lead after a good 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The game continued with more coming from the home side for the preseason match who dominated things going forward.
Bologna were good at the back in the second 45 minutes which saw them doing a decent job by ensuring they didn’t concede any goals early.
Liverpool continued to push for more goals as Virgil van Dijk was substituted out in the first half after coming back from injury with another sterling performance on his second game.
No goal to report as the match continued with both teams doing everything possible to make something happen but nothing could come through despite all the opportunities.
The game finally ended with Liverpool 2-0 Bologna as Jurgen Klopp’s side claimed another preseason win as they continue to prepare ahead of the new season which kicks off in weeks.
