Milan are set to miss out on a deal for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, according to reports reaching us from Calcio Mercato.
The Rossoneri were hoping to bring in the 28-year-old on loan, but Thomas Tuchel wants him to play a key role in the Blues’ squad this season after his performance before his injury.
Hakim Ziyech played in the UEFA Super Cup final before missing Chelsea’s first Premier League game of 2021-22 against Crystal Palace, after he picked up a shoulder injury.
He has been instrumental after picking up tremendous form over the preseason that have seen him score goals back to back in almost every game he plays.
Chelsea won’t be looking to allow him leave anymore as earlier suggested, but instead he will be staying with the club as one of the key player for the season.
The Blues will be up against Arsenal next and Hakim Ziyech won’t be taking part as he is still yet to recover, but Romelu Lukaku could be making his debut.
