Tottenham forward Harry Kane has refused to show up for training today after his holiday, MySportDab reports.
Kane has made it clear that he wants to leave Spurs this summer.
The England man has been heavily linked with a transfer to rivals Manchester City.
He was expected back at Tottenham’s training ground today after his holiday.
However, Kane refused to show up at Tottenham’s Enfield training centre.
Kane was meant to undergo Covid tests before he can start pre-season training at the club.
This might be a plan from Kane to make Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy sell him this summer.
The 27-year-old was set to inform Tottenham that he wants to leave the club after his arrival from holiday.
Kane wants to join Manchester City but Levy won’t accept a bid of less than £150m for the player.
Kane still has three years left on his current Tottenham contract.
City have £150m to spend on Kane but they are unlikely to pay Tottenham that amount even after the sale of some players.
Some more Manchester City players are due to be sold to make way for the Tottenham man before the transfer window closes.
Kane has scored 221 goals in 336 matches for Tottenham during his time at the club.
Speaking in a recent interview with Gary Neville, Kane revealed that Daniel Levy could let him leave this summer.
‘I am not sure, he might be ready to sell me,’ Kane said.
‘He might think, “If I can get £100m for you, why not collect it?” Do you get me? I won’t be worth that in two or three years.’
New Tottenham Coach Nuno Espirito Santo dismissed reports of Kane leaving the club after he was appointed as manager.
‘Harry is our player. There is nothing else to talk about,’ Nuno said.
‘For me, he is one of the best players in the world.
‘I want Harry to recover well, have a good rest before he arrives and become better.’
