Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed his plans for midfielder Donny Van De Beek, MySportDab reports.
The Norwegian has again confirmed that Donny van de Beek will have a role to play this season at Manchester United.
Van De Beek has not played a single minute of football for Manchester United so far this season.
He was an unused substitute in the Red Devils’ Premier League matches this season against Leeds and Southampton.
The Holland international watched as fellow midfielders Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic have all played a role in matches.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes have played in more attacking positions.
Despite the situation, Solskjaer has confirmed that Van De Beek is part of his plans this season.
‘Whenever we fail to win a game, we look at it but I think we could have won also.’ Solskjaer said about the Southampton match.
‘What should not have happened?
‘I think Nemanja did well, Anthony came close to scoring a goal but Jadon and Donny will become important for us.’
Van de Beek will hope to get his chance when Manchester United play against Wolves in their next Premier League match.
His lack of playing time is nothing new as he only started four matches for United in the Premier league last season.
The Red Devils signed Van De Beek for £40m from Ajax last summer.
The 24-year-old’s lack of minutes has left fans shocked so far this season with two Premier League matches already played.
