Real Madrid Submit £137m Bid For PSG Star Kylian Mbappe (Details)

Real Madrid have now submitted an offer of £137million for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, MySportDab reports.

The offer by Real Madrid is likely to be rejected by PSG.

Real Madrid’s first offer could be the start of a massive shakeup in transfers as Cristiano Ronaldo would now be able to join PSG.

Madrid have always been interested in Mbappe since he joined PSG back in 2017.

His contract expires next summer and he has rejected three new contract offer from the club to extend his contract beyond 2022.

PSG are expected to reject the opening bid, according to reports in France.

However, PSG have a replacement in form of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar has urged the club to consider Everton striker Richarlison, as Mbappe’s replacement.

There will be many questions about how Real Madrid can afford Mbappe after €300m (£257m) loss in the club’s revenue by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Real Madrid squad accepted a 15 per cent pay cut last season and several players this season have agreed to new contracts.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez’s desire to start the European Super League project was a clear sign of the club’s poor financial state.

Madrid did not sign any new player last summer and have signed only David Alaba on a free transfer from Bayern Munich so far this summer.

But, Los Blancos have sold Martin Odegaard to Arsenal and Raphael Varane to Manchester United.

According to French radio station RMC, PSG are considering their options and could let Mbappe to leave with one year left of his contract.

However, Madrid were skeptical about PSG’s willingness to let Kylian Mbappe leave.

The bid from Real Madrid on Tuesday night will now test the Qatari-owned club’s resolve.
