Manchester United have now confirmed plans for new signings Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane Vs Leeds United, MySportDab reports.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Sancho and Varane may not start United’s opening season match against Leeds United.
MySportDab understands that Sancho was expected to report for pre-season training today but he will only arrive back next week.
Varane has not yet completed his medical and United are working hard to complete his £43million transfer from Real Madrid faster.
United named a strong senior squad for their training camp in St Andrews earlier this week but their plans has been affected.
A Pre-season friendly match against Preston also had to be cancelled due to a positive Covid-19 result.
Speaking about if Sancho or Varane will play Vs Leeds, Solskjaer said: “The new boys, Sancho and Varane have not yet trained with us and I need to see them train.
“I don’t think they can play in the friendly match against Everton but i hope they can at least make the bench against Leeds.
“We are still missing a few key players now. Players from Euro 2020 and Copa America like Luke, Harry, Fred, and others only have the Everton match to prepare.
“It’s still not the best because teams with fewer players in tournaments will now have an advantage at the start but we are working on being ready.
“Fred played nine matches this summer and he’s had three weeks holiday and then two more weeks to be prepared, so they should be ready.”
