Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland scored a hat trick as Norway smashed Gibraltar 5-1 in their World Cup qualification match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
So many goals to talk about in the first half of the encounter which saw both sides finding the back of the net in an entertaining 45 minutes.
Gibraltar did manage to show strong will in the early minutes which saw them putting up a good fight to make sure they didn’t concede early in the match.
It was looking good for the visitors until Thorstvedt scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute of the game as Norway took a 1-0 lead from a clever finishing.
Erling Haaland made it 2-0 in the 27th minute as the first goal scorer Thorstvedt did well to provide the assistant for the Borussia Dortmund man who finishes neatly.
Another one from Erling Haaland in the 39th minute saw him getting his brace which saw the scoreline turned 3-0 with the match pushing on with more opportunities created.
Reece Styche pulled one back for the visitors who were lucky enough to get a break which saw them making things 3-1 in the 43rd minute from a sweet finishing.
The first half ended with Norway taking a good advantage into the break as it finished 3-1 against Gibraltar after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
More goals were recorded as the Norwegians made sure the second half was about just them making things happen and controlling the outcome.
Norway continued with their dominance which still sees them creating most of the opportunities in front of goal but manages to miss them despite coming close.
It was a one-way traffic all through as Gibraltar had to do everything possible to keep their opponent out from making the scoreline increase further until Soerloth 59th minutes goal made it 4-1.
Things continued to play out in favor of the home side as the game carried on into the last few minutes which saw Erling Haaland making it 5-1 in the 91st minutes of the game.
Nothing more as it ended with Norway 5-1 Gibraltar which saw the Norwegians giving themselves the fighting chance as they level on points with the Netherlands on the group as tops.
