Manchester United are now working on plans to sign Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United next summer, MySportDab reports.

United have been linked with Declan Rice over a year now.

But, According to the Daily Star, United have now switched their attention to Leeds Star Kalvin Philips.

West Ham’s £90m demand for Rice is one of the factors why Manchester United are losing interest in the player.

Now, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of Phillips and would be happy to sign him.

Manchester United do not believe that Rice is worth the £90m asking price for West Ham which would be a club record signing.

Kalvin Phillips has now been identified as a prime target, with Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer determined to sign a new defensive midfielder next summer.

Leeds supporters won’t be happy about this news due to the long rivalry between the two clubs.

In the past, Manchester United have taken players from Leeds like Eric Cantona, Alan Smith and Rio Ferdinand.

Phillips was born in Leeds and is a popular figure amongst the fans since they gained promotion to the Premier League.

He impressed on the world stage at Euro 2020, and played a key role in England’s road to reach the final.
