Manchester United play against Villarreal today at Old Trafford in the Champions League group stage match, MySportDab reports.
This is the first match between the two club since Villarreal won the Europa League final last season in Gdansk.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are desperate to get revenge for that defeat with a win today in the Champions League.
United have had a tough time last week with several defeats.
The Reds crashed out of the Carabao Cup and also lost to Aston Villa in the Premier League last week.
The Reds started the new Champions League with a loss at BSC Young Boys two weeks ago.
Now, Manchester United must get a win today against Villarreal.
TEAM NEWS
Luke Shaw has a slim chance of playing for Manchester United squad in the Champions League group match against Villarreal today.
However, defender Harry Maguire could miss the next few weeks of action.
Shaw was taken off in the first-half of United’s Premier League loss against Aston Villa on Saturday with an injury.
Meanwhile, Maguire was substituted in the second-half with a calf problem.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains suspended for the match and Diogo Dalot likely to replace him in the Starting XI.
Here’s how Manchester United could line-up today against Villarreal.
Goalkeeper: Dean Henderson
Henderson is now back fully fit and can become a key player in Champions League matches for United.
Defence: Telles, Varane, Lindelof, Dalot
With Shaw injured, Telles is more likely to start at left-back for United and Dalot at right-back.
Varane and Lindelof can both partner in central of the defence.
Midfield: Van De Beek, McTominay
Van De Beek and McTominay could both start as the holding midfielders for United in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Paul Pogba could get some rest or maybe replace McTominay in the Starting XI.
Attack: Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Lingard
Cristiano Ronaldo is more likely to lead the United attack again upfront.
Jadon Sancho should start on the right and Jesse Lingard on the left.
Bruno Fernandes would keep his place as the No.10 in the match Vs Villarreal tonight.
