Mohamed Salah has now demanded an outrageous pay rise from Liverpool to sign a new contract, MySportDab reports.

According to the Daily Mirror, Salah has demanded his next contract wages should be £500,000-a-week.

A few weeks back, Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that they were already in talks to extend his contract, with less than two years left.

The 29-year-old is currently one of the highest paid players at Anfield.

A new deal worth £500,000-a-week would make him the best paid player in Liverpool’s history, ahead of Vigil Van Dijk’s on £220,000-a-week.

Jurgen Klopp wants Salah to also extend his contract like Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson.

‘Salah is in a really, really good moment about football right now,’ Klopp said.

‘His behaviour from the first day he came back has been great.

‘So we’re all professionals. There are talks ongoing and when there is a final decision, we will tell you.’

On Tuesday, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson signed a new long-term contract and could now retire from football at the club.

Henderson, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all now committed their future to the Anfield club.

Defender Alexander-Arnold signed a four-year contract extension in July, and Brazil midfielder Fabinho also signed a new deal a few days later.

Goalkeeper Alisson also signed a new contract in the July while Van Dijk also got in on the deal.
