Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed plans for Cristiano Ronaldo’s second debut against Newcastle, MySportDab reports.
Solskjaer has said that Ronaldo will play at some point against Newcastle in the Premier league on Saturday.
The Norwegian Coach did not say if Ronaldo will start his first game for the club in 12 years or not.
Ronaldo wants to play from the start for United against Newcastle after training at Carrington for four days.
However, Solskjaer has confirmed he will make a final decision tomorrow hours before the Newcastle game.
‘He’ll play at some point, that’s certain,’ Solskjaer said.
‘He’s had a good pre-season with Juventus, and played well with the national team.
‘We’ve mutual respect for each other but he knows I make the final decisions on when to play him or not. It’s my job.
‘I want to make Cristiano be at his best and that comes with good communication.
‘We played for a few years together at the club. I don’t need to tell him what to do, he’s already had the desire to be the best.
‘Ryan Giggs did not retire until 40 and I won’t be surprised if Cristiano plays until the same age as Ryan.
‘For Cristiano, everyone knows what he’s achieved in his career and he wants more.
‘He makes demands. He’s work with the discipline of a top professional.
‘Ever since I came here, he was the first one to arrival very early for the training session and we knew immediately that this kid will have an effect on everyone.
‘It’s like signing Rapahel, he’s a born winner. There’s no place to hide winners like them. It’s great having him in.’
Solskjaer also praised Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani on how they handled the swap of his iconic United No.7 shirt.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also confirmed that Jadon Sancho is also available to start against Newcastle.
However, Scott McTominay, Alex Telles and Dean Henderson are unlikely to play Vs Newcastle.
