Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is angry after the club refused to let him leave before the transfer window closed, MySportDab reports.
Van De Beek’s agent has now blasted Manchester United for failing to ‘co-operate’ during Transfer talks.
Van de Beek joined for £35million in 2020 from Ajax but has not been able to seal a spot in the United first-team.
Bruno Fernandes is currently ahead of Van De Beek in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Due to his lack of playing time, Van De Beek’s agent tried to help him leave United and secure regular football.
However, According to MySportDab sources, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stopped him from joining Everton.
His agent, Guido Albers has now revealed again that there were many clubs interested in Van de Beek from across Europe.
‘There were many clubs interested from Italy, Germany, England, so it’s good to know,’ Albers told Voetbal International.
‘But you need to work with the club, and they refused to take part in anything.
‘It’s disappointing for him, but hopefully he will get his chance to play, and get his minutes, but this will be clear in soon enough.
‘He’s been promised playing time before, so we have all faith that it will happen again now.’
Asked if Van de Beek is disappointed by the stance from United, Albers added: ‘I won’t reveal that. But we all know Donny loves the game and he wants to play every week.
‘So from this, you can tell what he wanted most.’
Van de Beek’s contract at Manchester United expires in 2025, but his long-term future remains uncertain.
Last season, he started only four games in the Premier League, and played 36 times across all competitions.
Despite United’s midfield crisis, Van De Beek has remained an unused substitute so far in United’s three Premier League matches.
Also, He was left out of Louis van Gaal’s Holland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Norway, Montenegro and Turkey due to his lack of playing time.
Van de Beek was told by the Netherlands Coach that he must start playing regular football for United before he can return to the national team.
According to Newspaper AD, Van de Beek wanted to leave United, and a deal to join Everton was progressing well.
But, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer intervened and wanted to keep him.
MySportDab understands that United chiefs were ready to let Van de Beek leave under ‘certain conditions.’
