It looks like they are considering another player who could also be another good option for them to sign ahead of 2022.

Chelsea already have Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell occupying the left back which could also bring a question about why this move is happening.

The Blues are keen on Real Madrid defender who could complete a move to Stamford Bridge pending an agreement is agreed upon.

Chelsea are, according to reports reaching us from El Nacional, the Blues are readying a €60 million bid for Real Madrid left-back Ferland Mendy.

The France international is expected to be made available in 2022 and the Blues could make a move despite already having Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell on their books.

It is still not confirmed why this move is making headlines despite knowing it might be a problem for him to overtake the two performing left backs.

Thomas Tuchel could be looking to use him as a back three which the player can also play with no chance of him overtaking Marcos Alonso or Ben Chilwell who are both on good form.

Chelsea are also linked with moves for other names which include Pau Torres as one of the leading targets when the window opens for business.

Ferland Mendy has been outstanding since his move to Real Madrid, but lately he has struggled to get much playing time which could see him leave the club for a new challenge.
