Chelsea have now some new injury concerns with certain players ahead of their next Premier League match, MySportDab reports.
N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell will most definitely miss Chelsea’s match against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Kante has played an important role in Tuchel’s new team but he sustained a ‘twisted knee’ in the first half of Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Juventus.
Also, left-back Chilwell could be out for upto five months as he limped off the pitch on Tuesday night.
“Chilwell was in serious pain, but feels better now,” Tuchel said.
“We will examine him again to be more precise. Hopefully it’s not too bad news. N’Golo’s situation is similar, he played well in the first half but twisted his knee.”
United Caretaker Manager Michael Carrick won his first match in charge at Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Carrick will remain in charge when Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
Manchester United are currently 12 points behind Chelsea after making a poor start to the new season.
However, Chelsea have enjoyed fantastic results since Tuchel’s arrival last season and remain top of the Premier League.
Chelsea have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League match against Manchester United since 2017.
