A top Spanish Club are now considering a January bid to sign Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, MySportDab reports.

Van De Beek is desperately trying to leave Manchester United as soon as possible.

The £35m man has only had four Premier League starts under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since he arrived from Ajax in 2020.

Van de Beek is far down the pecking order at United.

The young midfielder is behind Fred, Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic for a role in midfield at United.

He is now trying to leave for a new club and Barcelona can now become his next destination with the Spanish giants keen to improve their squad in January.

According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, Barca are interested in signing Van De Beek but can only afford a loan deal due to their financial situation in January.

Barcelona are desperate to get more attacking players im their midfield.

Van de Beek scored 41 goals and provided 34 assists in 175 matches for Ajax.

A move to Barcelona would reunite him with former Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong.

The duo forged a deadly midfield combination that lead to Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.

Last week, Manchester United players advised Van De Beek to change his agent and seal his exit from the club.

The 24-year-old sacked his agent and is now signed with Ali Dursun, the agent of Victor Lindelof, and De Jong.

There are many clubs expected to show interest in Van de Beek in January, and some Premier League clubs are closely watching.

Everton and Wolves have taken a keen interest in the player and would try to seal a deal with Manchester United in January.
