Lucas Paqueta scored the only goal as Brazil beat Colombia 1-0 in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was evenly balanced and matched between the two countries that had so much work to do.
Colombia maintained a good composure which saw them being able to deal with every attacking done by their opponent in the match.
It was looking all good for Brazil who dominated things while they also had some work to do defending against their opponent who also created few opportunities.
Nothing could separate them as the first half approached further into the last few stages which saw the home side keep dominating things.
The first half finally came to an end with Brazil and Colombia settling for a 0-0 goalless scoreline after an amazing 45 minutes of football between both Nations.
Second Half Report
The second half picked off from where it stopped in the first 45 minutes which no side was able to find the breakthrough which was needed.
Brazil continued pushing forward with them being the better between the two Nations looking to take the lead which continued being a very hard thing to come.
Colombia could have made things count but their finishing was very poor for them to take the lead which could have meant a lot to them in the encounter as it progressed.
Lucas Paqueta finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute of the second half after teaming up with Neymar who was able to provide the assistance for the goal go make the scoreline 1-0.
The match continued with more opportunities being created but no one could make it count going forward with few minutes left to be played in the encounter.
The game ended with Brazil taking all three points with a 1-0 win against Colombia to boost their chances of making the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.
