Kai Havertz goal wasn’t enough as Burnley held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw with a second half goal from Matej Vydra, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter wasn’t that bad coming from the home side who made sure they got the job done after 45 minutes.

Burnley did everything possible to make sure they didn’t concede an early goal which worked out for them as their defending was perfect.

Things continued with Chelsea pushing with everything they had against their opponent but failed to make good use of their opportunities on goal.

Kai Havertz gave the Londoners the lead in the 33rd minute of the first half after a good team effort with Reece James saw them making the scoreline 1-0 as it progressed.

The match carried on with more opportunities being created from both ends which saw nothing happening with just few minutes left to play.

The game ended in the first half with Chelsea 1-0 Burnley as they both went inside for the break which saw the home side taking the advantage after 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half was better coming from the visitors who made sure they made a good use of their opportunities which paid off in the match.

Things continued to work in favor of Chelsea who kept their lead going while they continue to make things happen going forward in attack and doing good work also at the back.

Burnley pushed more hoping they can make something happen of their own as the match progressed further with more coming from both ends in terms of opportunities.

Matej Vydra 79th minute goal leveled things 1-1 after a good teamwork effort saw the visitors finally beating Edouard Mendy to get the equalizer which was stunning.

The game looked open as Thomas Tuchel and his side tried to do everything to take back the lead which didn’t happen as they approached full time whistle.

Nothing happened as the match ended with Chelsea 1-1 Burnley which saw the Blues losing points that could have put them six top off the table over Man City.
