FT: Liberia 0-2 Nigeria, Victor Osimhen STRIKES! (Match Report And Highlight)

Nigeria claimed another three points as they recorded a 0-2 win against Liberia in their World Cup qualifying game as Victor Osimhen and Musa scored, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Just one goal scored in the first half of the encounter which saw the Super Eagles dominating things going forward.

It was a good start for Nigeria who dominated things going forward with them looking to get an early goal against their opponent who were also solid.

Liberia could only hold on until the 15th minute which saw Victor Osimhen scored from the penalty spot to make the scoreline 0-1 for the Super Eagles.

Things continued looking good from both ends who were able to create a fair amount of opportunities which was all that was seen as they approached the final stages of the half.

Nothing could happen more as the first half of the encounter ended with Liberia 0-1 Nigeria as they both headed inside for the break.

Second Half Report

The second half started out good from both ends who continued showing positive sign of making things happen going forward.

Liberia continued doing everything possible to ensure they at least get the equalizer which didn’t happen for them as their opponent defense was too solid.

It was look calm for Nigeria who carried on with their dominance and made sure they didn’t allow their opponent access passing their defenders.

Nothing happened as they approached the 60th minute which saw the scoreline still on 0-1 with the Super Eagles taking the advantage and also looking the better side.

The game continued to look good in terms of opportunities being created but nothing was able to hit the back of the net as the match was still in favor of the visiting side.

A late penalty spot scored by Ahmed Musa ensured the lead increased to 0-2 in the 90th minute plus additional time in the encounter.

The match finally came to an end with Liberia 0-2 Nigeria which means the Super Eagles advance into the next round of the World Cup qualifiers.
