Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema both scored as Real Madrid beat Rayo Vallecano 2-1 to move top of the laliga table, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was good with goals coming in as we witnessed an entertaining 45 minutes of football between both teams.
Rayo Vallecano had things under control in the first 10 minutes of the game which saw nothing happening from both ends with few opportunities.
Toni Kroos gave Real Madrid the lead in the 14th minute of the first half as he converted neatly to make the scoreline 1-0 from a beautiful display coming from the German.
The match carried on without anything coming through as the pressure was all on the visiting side who had to do everything possible to keep the scoreline the same.
Karim Benzema doubled the lead in the 38th minute with a stunning strike which made the scoreline 2-0 with David Alaba assisting.
Nothing else was recorded in the first half as things ended with Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano which saw them both heading inside for the break.
Second Half Report
The second half started slowly as Real Madrid was looking to maintain things the way they were against Rayo Vallecano who was pushing back.
The opportunities kept on coming but nothing happened between both sides as the goalkeepers were on alert of incoming attempts to get past them in the match.
It was looking all good for the home side who were okay knocking the ball around to kill off time as they approached the 70th minute in the encounter.
Radamel Falcao pulled one back for his side in the 77th minute of the second half which saw the scoreline turn 2-1 as it carried on with more opportunities.
The match closed up tightly as Real Madrid held on to their lead until the match ended with 2-1 against Rayo Vallecano.
