Jadon Sancho scored his first Manchester United goal in the Champions League match against Villarreal on Tuesday night, MySportDab reports.
Sancho was congratulated for his goal by England teammates and fans on Twitter.
Sancho joined Manchester United in the summer after leaving Borussia Dortmund.
However, the young player had struggled for regular playing time under former Cosh Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday and Sancho got into the Champions League starting line-up for the match against Villarreal.
Interim Coach Michael Carrick gave Sancho another chance to impress and he made it count.
The 21-year-old scored in the closing stages of his match after a good touch by Bruno Fernandes for his first ever Manchester United Goal.
The goal impressed United fans, and international team-mates on Twitter.
Jude Bellingham, Sancho’s former Borussia Dortmund team-mate posted the player’s initials on Twitter with a smiling face.
United were playing their first match since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked as manager which came after the poor 4-1 defeat to Watford in the Premier League.
Despite a poor first half, United got into form late on after bringing on Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal 12 minutes from the end before Sancho’s goal secured the 2-0 win for Manchester United.
