Manchester United are now working on new plans to convince Zinedine Zidane to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
There is mounting pressure on current Coach Solskjaer as United are now sixth in the league after a 5-0 loss to Liverpool, and a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.
It is unlikely for Manchester United to sack Solskjaer any time soon but the club are already making plans ahead should the need arise.
Despite surviving United’s poor run of form, Solskjaer’s job is still not safe.
Now, According to The Times, Manchester United are doing everything possible to persuade Zidane to replace Solskjaer.
Zidane is currently out of work having quit from Real Madrid for a second time at the end of last season.
The Frenchman has a fantastic record at Real Madrid, winning three Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles.
However, MySportDab understands that Zidane is not convinced whether the United job would be a good choice for him.
He has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain should Mauricio Pochettino fail to win the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, United are hopeful that his relationships with Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane can be enough to convince him that Old Trafford is the right job.
Zidane worked with both players during his time at Real Madrid.
Solskjaer who joined as an interim manager in 2018, has failed to win a trophy for over three years now at Old Trafford.
United were set to offer Solskjaer a new contract in December, though questions have now been raised over his future since the loss to Liverpool.
