The president of Fiorentina, Rocco Benito Commisso, has defiantly responded to the reported links between Dusan Vlahovic and Arsenal and Juventus.
Vlahovic contract will soon expire and there are many clubs who’d want the services of the player. President Commisso has cleared stated it that any interested party must deal directly with the club.
“I don’t know if Juventus are able to sign Vlahovic in January,” but I want to say to Juventus or Arsenal that we [Fiorentina] are the ‘owners’ of Vlahovic. They should open talks with us – not with his agents.”
According to the Athletic, Vlahovic may prefer to remain in Italy.
This comes after Goal reporter Charles Watts stated that no negotiations have taken place and that Vlahovic isn’t even a target for Arsenal. The club appears to be looking for a striker for next year, but not Vlahovic.
Arsenal is not actively pursuing Vlahovic and that no talks with Di Marzio claimed Arsenal met with Fiorentina to discuss Vlahovic, informing them they were willing to pay the Serie A club’s asking price of €80 million plus bonuses.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are not in talks with Fiorentina.
Unlike the English media, Romano added that Arsenal was one of many clubs monitoring Vlahovic’s situation, but nothing had progressed.
