Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio scored as Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in a Derby, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Just one goal in the first-half of the encounter separated both teams who had a good 45 minutes regardless of how the scoreline was.
First 15th minute played in the Madrid derby was unable to provide any goal or talking points with few wasted opportunities thrown away by both teams.
Karim Benzema gave Real Madrid the lead in the 16th minute of the game after a good assist from Vinicius Junior who raced through to help the France International who made it 1-0 as it move on.
Atletico Madrid were second best as they couldn’t make anything happen out of all their efforts going forward and providing opportunities back to back without anything coming out of it.
It was looking all good for the home side who had control with the advantage on their hands as they approached the final few stages of the first half.

Second Half Report
The second half wasn’t that bad going forward as Carlo Ancelotti ensured his side got the job done without wasting time or all their efforts which wasn’t that much.
Atletico Madrid continued pushing forward in search of the equalizer which saw them creating numerous amounts of opportunities but still couldn’t count for them in the match.
Marco Asensio increased the advantage to 2-0 in the 57th minute of the second half as Vinicius Junior made the assist once again after helping Benzema.
Real Madrid were okay to hold onto their 2-0 lead which was looking like the final result as they approached the few minutes left to be played in the game.
The match ended with Real Madrid taking all three points after beating Atletico Madrid 2-0 to remain top of the Laliga Santander table.
