Mohamed Salah missed a penalty for Liverpool as they lost 1-0 at Leicester in the Premier League on Tuesday night, MySportDab reports.
Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was the hero to end the long run of scoring penalties.
Schmeichel saved Salah’s spot kick in the 15 minute at the King Power Stadium.
Luckily, Salah headed the rebound against the crossbar and then the Goalkeeper made another great safe after 30 minutes.
Premier League pundit Alan Shearer spoke about Salah after he failed to score from 12 yards in the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
Shearer told Amazon Prime Video Sport: ‘Salah has scored his last 15 Premier League penalties, but it was poor here.
‘He tried to hang in the air for the rebound? But he goes too early and can’t get above it enough.’
Premier League Legend Thierry Henry was impressed by Schmeichel’s save to stop Salah.
Henry said: ‘That is a fantastic save. Leicester should be one or two nil down but they failed to take their chances.
‘If not for Schmeichel, they would be losing 2-0. I don’t understand how he touched that.’
Liverpool lost the match 1-0 and are now behind Manchester City in the title race.
Manchester City and Liverpool remain the top two favourites to win the league this season.
