Mohamed Salah saw the funny aspect of things bursting explosive into laughter once he was asked concerning his seventh-placed finish at the Ballon d’Or.

The liverpool star was the fourth highest-placed Premier League player within the results for the award – won by Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi for a record-extending seventh time – in Paris on Monday.

He came behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea midfield pair N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.

But the Egyptian – whose deal at Anfield is about to expire within the summer of 2023 – omitted that disappointment by marking double for the Reds within their thumping 4-1 success at Everton in the Merseyside derby on wednesday night.

The 29-year-old – who has currently netted nineteen goals in as several games across all competitions this season – was in jubilant mood at Goodison Park however his biggest laugh of the night probably came in his post-match interview.
