Aston Villa came from 2-0 down to draw with Manchester United as Philippe Coutinho second half heroics cancelled out Bruno Fernandes brace.
Ralf Rangnick’s side was without Top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo who is still battling a mild injury as Cavani starts in the centre forward position.
First half report
United started well, and took the lead through Bruno Fernandes, whose shot went straight through Emiliano Martínez, a shocker for the ages. Villa improved as the half went on, but something is still missing.
Ralf Rangnick’s side were really impressive in the first 30 minutes, but Steven Gerrard’s charges grew into the game and finished the half in a strong fashion.
Second half report
Both teams tried to get into the game and get the better off their opponents. It paid off for Manchester United as Bruno Fernandes put the visitor 2-0 ahead just after an hour mark.
Aston Villa kept pushing for a goal until new signing and substitute Philippe Coutinho came in to switch things up. He first set up Jacob Ramsey in the 77th minute to pull one back.
Five minutes later, he slots in the equalizer as shouts and chants from the host fans put the stadium into a frenzy.
Both teams tried to get the winner late on in the game but could not until the end as the match ended 2-2.
