Vincent Aboubakar set a new record as Cameroon beat Comoros 2-1 to move into the next round of AFCON, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Good first half for the host Nation who dominated things as their opponent were dealt with a huge blowing seeing their player sent off.
Comoros start off well as they gave their opponent a good run which kept on going until the 7th minute which saw Nadjim Abdou being shown a red card after a foul committed.
Cameroon started dominating the encounter from that moment which gave them so many space and opening as they operated smoothly looking to score the first goal which was still an issue.
The goal finally came in the 29th minute as Vincent Aboubakar setup Karl Toko Ekambi who finished off neatly making it count for his country as they took a 1-0 lead going forward.
That goal was the only action of the first half as it ended with Cameroon 1-0 Comoros as they both headed inside for the break after 45 minutes of football played.
Second Half Report
The second half started well with more opportunities coming from both end despite the game shifting to one side as the other had a player off due to red card.
Cameroon were solid going forward as they looked to kill off things before it got out of hand against their opponent who were still looking good despite the disadvantage.
Comoros were doing well until Vincent Aboubakar scored a stunner in the 70th minute making the scoreline 2-0 from another beautiful play which increased the lead for the host.
The visiting side pulled one back in the 81st minutes through Youssouf M’Changama who made sure his opportunity counted to make things 2-1 giving them a lifeline.
The encounter came to an end with Cameroon making it into the next round after beating Comoros 2-1 after 90 minutes of football played.
