Luuk de Jong scored the only goal as Barcelona claimed a 0-1 win against Mallorca in the laliga Santander, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It wasn’t that bad of a first half coming from both teams who made sure they gave a good account of themselves going forward in the match.
Mallorca had so much work to do in the first half as the pressure was mostly on them as they were forced to defend all through the 45 minutes.
Barcelona did everything possible as the match progressed for them to score but nothing could happen for them going forward as it wasn’t that easy breaking down their opponent.
Nothing still could happen in the match which wasn’t looking good for Barca who needed a win to boost their chances of climbing up the laliga Santander table with three points at stake.
The goal finally came in the 44th minute of the match which saw Luuk de Jong hitting the back of the net after a good assist coming from Oscar Mingueza to make the scoreline 0-1.
The goal was the only action as the first half ended with Mallorca 0-1 Barcelona as they both headed for the break with all the advantages heading the way of the visitors.
Second Half Report
The second half kicked off with more pace from both teams who looked good as they carry on looking to add something to the scoreline which was in favor of the away side.
Barcelona held on to their lead as the match progressed further with more opportunities coming through while the home side had no choice but to make sure they kept it calm.
Mallorca continued doing everything possible to get the equalizer as they also had it at the back of their mind to defend well and not concede anything which could be worst as it carried.
The match came to an end with Mallorca 0-1 Barcelona which saw Xavi Hernandez and his players getting the job done away from home with all three points.
