Alex Iwobi sent off as Nigeria crashed out of AFCON after losing to Tunisia 0-1 in a game which was bad for the Super Eagles, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both Nations kicked off the first half with so much pace going forward as they looked to book their ticket into the next round after making it through from the group stages.
Tunisia had so much work to do as in the early minutes of the encounter which saw their opponent dominating things while going forward but couldn’t make it count on many occasions.
Things were looking good for Nigeria but they couldn’t make it count with so much opportunities being created by the which couldn’t be placed right as most of them didn’t get close to the post.
It was more boring as the match entered the last few minutes left which no goal was scored despite everything done from both ends to get a goal which proved wasteful.
The first half of the encounter ended with Nigeria 0-0 Tunisia as they both went inside for the break after a bad 45 minutes of football with a goal.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same like the first 45 minutes in which was a hard fought encounter failing to orovide much action to the fans in the early minutes.
Nigeria continued to push forward but looked very poor when they get close to scoring which always get swept away by their opponent before they reach the goalkeeper.
Tunisia took the lead in the 47th minute of the second half after a good teamwork effort seeing Youssef Msakni scored a stunner to make the scoreline 0-1 for the away did in the match.
The Super Eagles were wasteful as they struggled with not shot on target as Alex Iwobi was shown a red card in the 64th minute leaving them with 10-man.
The match ended with Nigeria 0-1 Tunisia which sees the Super Eagles crashing out of AFCON against their opponent who qualify for next round as best losers.
