Samuel Chukwueze alongside Moses Simon and Taiwo Awoniyi scored as Nigeria book next round tick in AFCON beating Sudan 3-1, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Good end to end first half coming from both teams regardless of how the scoreline was after the end of 45 minutes which was in favor of the Super Eagles.
Samuel Chukwueze scored the opener in the 3rd minutes teaming up with Nantes forward Moses Simon who provided the assist that made the scoreline 1-0.
The game carried on with Sudan doing so much to comeback immediately which failed to happen in every attempts taken to ensure something happen at once.
It was looking like a far gone first half encounter which couldn’t produce anything more as they carried on creating opportunities.
Taiwo Awoniyi double the lead in the 45th minute of the match after a beauty which the Union Berlin man snatched home making things 2-0.
That was how things ended in the first half with Nigeria 2-0 Sudan as they went inside for the break after a good 45 minutes with advantage to the Super Eagles.
Second Half Report
The second half was brilliant coming from both teams who did well enough to get something hitting the back of the net under 45 minutes.
Moses Simon increased the lead to 3-0 in the 48th minute of play in the second half which saw the Nantes player smashing one past the goalkeeper to increase the advantage for Nigeria.
Sudan kept on pushing for a consolation goal which could mean so much to them as they are yet to open their mark in the African Cup of Nations this year.
Walieldin Khidir scored from the penalty spot in the 70th minute to make the scoreline 3-1 sending Maduka Okoye to the wrong way.
The match ended with Nigeria 3-1 Sudan which saw the Super Eagles claiming all three points which move them into the next round with one game left in hand.
