Antonio Rudiger scored as Chelsea beat Tottenham 0-1 to reach the Carabao Cup final with a 0-3 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was all about the Blues showing their dominance all through the first half of the encounter which saw them scoring just one goal.
Tottenham started off the encounter with a solid defense setup despite knowing how much they needed to push for goals if they stand a chance of going through.
Chelsea scored in the 18th minute through a delivery from Mason Mount which was headed inside by Antonio Rudiger to make the score line 0-1 after an outstanding teamwork effort.
It wasn’t looking good as Spurs were pushed forward with them looking to make something happen against a side who was already on a 0-3 lead as it carried on going forward.
The first half came to an end with Chelsea taking a 0-1 advantage into the break against Tottenham after an amazing 45 minutes of football played between them.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of tactical football which didn’t result in anything happening except so many wasted opportunities that was everything.
Tottenham still pushed on with hopes of maybe making something happen but failed in every of their process of doing so which wasn’t looking like happy day for Antonio Conte.
Chelsea were good as long as they had things going the way they planned with them hitting the 50th minute mark with their lead still intact.
Things carried on with more opportunities which could have changed the scoreline, but it wasn’t looking so as they both had good job making sure nothing get past their defenders.
The match finally finished with Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea making it a 0-3 aggregate which saw them making it into the final of the Carabao Cup awaiting either Arsenal or Liverpool.
