Manchester United’s Squad for the Premier League match today against Wolves has now been confirmed, MySportDab reports.
Playmaker Bruno Fernandes is back in the squad after serving his suspension missing the last game.
Fernandes did not play in the 3-1 win over Burnley at Old Trafford on Thursday but can now be used in United’s first match of 2022.
The Portuguese was amongst other squad members that arrived at The Lowry Hotel on Sunday night.
Interim Coach Ralf Rangnick and other coaching staffs are also present at the hotel.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were not seen with the United squad.
Lindelof missed the last match due to his isolation because of Covid-19.
However, Jesse Lingard who played instead of Bruno Fernandes against Burnley has now kept his place in the squad.
Lingard is still yet to start a Premier League match for United in over two years and he has been linked with a summer move to West Ham.
Anthony Martial was also missing after revealing his request to leave Manchester United in January.
Sevilla have made an offer to sign Martial but the offer was rejected immediately as they could not pay his wages in full.
Some other Manchester United players are ready to leave this month due to a lack of playing time but any sales appears unlikely.
Lingard and Paul Pogba’s contract expire in June but are expected to remain past the January transfer window.
Coach Rangnick confirmed that he told Edinson Cavani that deal he will not be sold.
Juan Mata is also ready to leave and Dean Henderson wants a loan move away.
However, Rangnick plans to keep Henderson at the club.
“We had some talks in the last few weeks and the player i spoke more frequently with is Edinson,” Rangnick said.
“I told him that to me he is a very important player. He is the only one who can play as a striker in different ways.
“His professionalism, and work ethic can’t be compared with anyone else and I told him that he should stay until the end of the season.”
