First Half Report
It was a good first-half encounter between both teams who had fair enough opportunities of making things count but only the home side capitalized on theirs.
Atletico Madrid wasted no time in taking the lead in the 7th minutes thanks to Joao Felix’s incredible finish with his head giving his side a 1-0 lead as it carried on.
Man United did well enough to go close on many occasions trying to level things back the way it was, but nothing seems to be working as they pushed forward in numbers.
The Premier League side dominated the encounter as more of the ball possession was on their side going forward but nothing seemed to be working out for them at that moment.
More opportunities came through but nothing changed as they headed inside for the break with Atletico Madrid 1-0 Man United after 45 minutes of football played between them in Spain.
Second Half Report
The second half continued as the first 45 minutes ended with the home side carrying on their advantage which wasn’t safe as pressure was still on them.
Man United continues to hit from every possible position they can, hoping to make something happen in the match which still was a problem for them with time going forward.
Atletico Madrid had just one thing in their mind which is to hold off play for as long as possible they can, knowing the advantage in on their side and they just have to defend very well to get the job done.
The match was looking tight until Anthony Elanga leveled things 1-1 in the 80th minute thanks to a good teamwork effort which resulted in the youngster making it count for the devils.
It ended full time with Atletico Madrid 1-1 Man United which gives both teams assurance as they wait for the second leg that will be played at Old Trafford in England.
