Cameroon came from behind to draw 3-3 and won via penalties against Burkina Faso to claim bronze at the AFCON, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A good game in the first half of encounter which saw the host Nation fumbling against their opponent who made light work of them under 45 minutes.
Cameroon went down in the 24th minute with a goal coming from Steeve Yago who smashed one beating the goalkeeper to make the scoreline 1-0 as it carried on.
An own-goal from Andre Onana saw Burkina Faso taking a 2-0 advantage after an error saw the Inter Milan goalkeeper putting the ball inside his own net.
The first half ended with Burkina Faso 2-0 Cameroon as they both went inside for the break with advantage to the home team for the encounter.
Second Half Report
Second half was a totally different situation which saw the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon making a comeback.
Burkina Faso held on firmly to their advantage as things progressed in the second half of the encounter.
Ouattara 49th minute goal extended the lead as Cameroon were down by 3-0 with things looking like it was done for them missing the Bronze medal.
A 71st minutes goal from Bahoken saw the host Nation pulling one back from nowhere which gave them a lifeline with scoreline 3-1.
The game progress with Vincent Aboubakar scoring another one in the 85th minute with assistance coming from Ngamaleu which made things 3-2.
It was looking good with a brace for the Porto man who completed a comeback for his country in the 88th minute making it 3-3.
That was how it ended in the second half as they were forced into penalty shootout as 3rd place match won’t have to go into extra time first.
Penalties Report
The game entered penalties which saw Cameroon completing their victory against Burkina Faso as the penalty ended with 3-5 in favor of the host Nation who claimed Bronze.
