Liverpool beat Cardiff City 3-1 in the Emirates FA Cup which saw Luis Diaz made an assist during his debut, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The game kicked off with both teams pushing to get control of the first half which wasn’t looking good for the away as they couldn’t make anything happen on the pitch.
Liverpool had enough amount of dominance against their opponent as they pushed from every angle trying to break them down with the match going on further with the visitors also pushing with nothing happening.
More opportunities were created as the first half progressed with Cardiff City luckily finding a way out of not going down as they were still yet to make any attempt of their own going forward with things still one sided.
The opportunities didn’t stopped coming for the home team who were all over the place looking for a way to break the deadlock with half hour gone already.
Nothing changed as the first half progressed and finally came to an end with Liverpool 0-0 Cardiff City which saw them heading inside for the break goalless without anything happening.
Second Half Report
More good display coming from the both teams who were still unable to find a way to get any goal with control of the match going the way of the Red.
Liverpool were poor in getting anything done but managed to make attempts which didn’t cause any problems as their opponent had everything covered up without leaving any space.
Cardiff City finally concede a goal in the 53rd minutes through an outstanding finish from Diogo Jota to make things 1-0 after an assist coming from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Takumi Minamino made it 2-0 in the 68th minute as the Reds increased their advantage with assist from new signing Luis Diaz.
The goals kept on coming as Harvey Elliot this time made it 3-0 in the 76th minute of the game which was looking good.
Rubin Colwill pulled one back in the 80th minute for the away side which saw the scoreline turned 3-1.
The match ended with Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff City as the reds moved into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup.
