Manchester United are now ready to battle Chelsea for the signing of West Ham star Declan Rice, MySportDab reports.
Rice is United’s No1 target Declan Rice this summer to improve in midfield.
However, the England midfielder has a level of interest for his boyhood club Chelsea.
United have now started making plans to sign 23-year-old Rice in the summer and he is now a top priority.
The Red Devils FA Cup means that they will end the season without a trophy again.
Despite spending big last summer with the arrival of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo, United have not improved.
The Red Devils had plans to sign a top-level defensive midfielder last summer but failed.
Now, According to Manchester Evening News, Declan Rice is the top priority for this summer.
Other options for the midfield role include; Amadou Haidara, Boubacar Kamara and Ruben Neves.
West Ham have placed a £100m price tag on Rice and that will be a big test for any club interested.
Manchester City are also interested in the player but Rice would love a return to his former club Chelsea.
Chelsea might have to sell N’Golo Kante to bring in Rice and this is possible given that Kante is now over 30 years old.
Rice remains contracted to West Ham until 2024.
Any transfer to leave West Ham in the summer would require a massive fee from Manchester United or Chelsea.
Speaking about Rice in his latest press conference, Moyes said: “You need a lot of money to get him.
“I said last summer that Declan Rice would cost £100m. That was a good opportunity to sign him cheap.
“He is fully committed here, and we are pleased to have him.”
