Manchester United Coach Ralf Rangnick has a major doubt about striker Cristiano Ronaldo, MySportDab reports
Rangnick is not confident that Cristiano Ronaldo should lead Manchester United’s attack next season.
According to Manchester Evening News, Rangnick is already losing his with Ronaldo, who has scored only one goal in his last 10 matches.
Rangnick has not yet decided to drop Ronaldo due to United’s lack of quality goalscorers.
Striker Edinson Cavani has not been available due a groin problem and he has only scored twice this season.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford has scored only five goals in the last five months.
Ronaldo is now 37 and started six of United’s seven matches in 22 days this February.
He only scored against Brighton in those matches.
The Portuguese had 28 shots on goal in February and he has more offside calls than any other Premier League player this season.
In his first 20 matches, Ronaldo scored 14 goals but he has only one goal this year.
Back-up striker Cavani has been more absent for United this season than any other player.
Rangnick has now said it is ‘obvious’ that United must sign a striker in the summer.
Ronaldo’s contract current deal with expire in 2023, but there is an for another year.
However, Cavani has missed 22 of United’s 37 matches this season and will leave when his contract expires in June.
