Manchester United manager has come out to explain why Jesse Lingard was forced to stay with the club, MySportDab reports.
The Club who have Mason Greenwood currently banned from the team made a late decision which saw them keeping Lingard who was set to leave.
Ralf Rangnick had so much to say concerning his decision not to allow the winger leave the club following the arrest of Greenwood for alleged abuse and rape.
According to the manager, Jesse Lingard seems to be angry about the decision being made by the club to keep him when he was already set to make a move elsewhere.
It was reported that Newcastle United and West Ham already tabled an offer which was turned down by the Old Trafford club.
Ralf Rangnick has made it clear that Mason Greenwood’s arrest wasn’t the reason they had to make the call of not letting Jesse Lingard leave during the January window.
Here Is What He Said:
Ralf Rangnick on Lingard situation: “Jesse has asked to be off until Monday to clear his mind”.
“He didn’t leave because we had problem with Mason Greenwood – and also because of the club not finding agreement with another club”, Rangnick added.
Things are not looking that good as they go up against Middlesbrough tomorrow in the Emirates FA Cup clash with them aiming to resume after the short break.
Jesse Lingard won’t be taking part as he has asked to leave till on Monday just to clear his mind and think what is next for him.
He has so much chance of getting more playing time with the likes of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood out of the team for now.
Ralf Rangnick will be doing with the rest of the players he has left as their clash tomorrow is a priority for them if they are to carry on for the remainder of the season.
